Book & Table's grand opening was July 13, 2016.
Book & Table is a brand-new independent bookstore that just opened its doors this summer in historic downtown Valdosta, GA, mere yards from where the legendary John Henry “Doc” Holliday once practiced dentistry in Lowndes County before turning Wild West gunslinger. What seredipity then for a VSU journalism professor such as Ted Geltner, who has a newly published book, Blood, Bone, and Marrow, about yet another contumacious, Georgia-born Southern character, Harry Crews.
Currently the venue only serves lunch, but light snacks will be provided at the event.
