I’m pleased to announce that one month from today, on Thursday, Nov. 16, I’ll be discussing the life and work of Harry Crews at Boston University with my friend Jay Atkinson.
Jay was a student and protege of Harry’s at the University of Florida, and is the author nine books himself, both fiction and non-fiction, as well as a professor of narrative journalism at BU.
We will show some of the few remaining audio/video clips of Harry from various periods in his life, and tell some stories. William McKeen, author and assistant dean in the BU journalism program, will also stop by to share his thoughts. Another event in the Boston area may be announced shortly.
This will be a fun event so I encourage all Crews fans in New England to put it on your calendar!
